Back to Dye Printing Tricks & Tips
Yes, but we have to charge you for press time, ink, plates, negatives, and a new color key or blueline...
So when is a good time to check for spelling? Way back when you first thought of the project. Right around the time you dictated the copy or inputted the job on disk.
You wouldn't expect the architect to "move the bathroom to THIS side of the house" for free after buying the house. The cheapest time to move the bathroom would be way back when you were going over the sketches--right before the blueprints were drawn.
In order to get a job on the press there have been several steps along the way, whether you set up the job or we did. There were all those "galleys" of laserproofs, spell checking all the way. Then there was the final proof that everyone signed off on. Then we got the job, created film, and made a blueline. A change there costs the time to do the correction or addition, image new film, process it, and create another blueline. If you used multiple colors you may have multiple sheets of film to re-strip. Once that blueline is approved, new plates have to be created, then it's back to the presses!
Don't pay and pay and pay. Check the work when you are running fifteen cent laserproofs, instead of $150 color keys!
