Anchorline Newsletter for the Anchorage
Camp.
The clients have a Christian camp and conference center
on Lake Waccamaw near the coast of North Carolina. They provide the text
in Word documents and I flow in the type, format the pages, come up with
artwork (some clip reduced to their spot color, other original art--like
the illustrations of their mascot Al the Alligator is drawn, scanned, and
colored using my "stained glass technique.").
Due to their distance from our shop, we've worked out
a pretty good system of PDF and fax proofs. Most issues are tabloid folded
to 8.5"x11", but the occasional edition needs another page, so
we extend it to a three-panel per side document.
The staff is incredible, letting me do just about whatever
design I want. Due to their budget, we keep it quick and clean!
