3.5"x 5.75" Full-color cover, 6-panel Gospel
tract designed, laid out, and printed for the Forsyth family.
This was a complete overhaul of the same tract printed
some years ago. The large photo was the only original piece used in both.
The family had grown up in the years between printing and the author wanted
to update it. The text was created in FreeHand,
spaced so different filters could be used to the two different styles, the
overlapped. EyeCandy's embossing was used for the "Triumph" section
set in Balmoral. Hand-done airbrushing was dusted over areas to make it
less mechanically embossed. The "Tragedy" section was set in Impact,
a secondary color stroke was added, and the dodge/burn tool used to muddy
the color a bit at the bottom. The background photo came from clip art.
There wasn't enough image, so the handy-dandy rubber stamp tool was used
to add more data. Once done, duplicate layers were merged and the lens flare
was added over the text and mountains. A duplicate, grayscale version of
just the mountains was used as in the interior of the tract as a background
element, highly lightened and ghosted.
