Can Photoshop Do Transformations Mathematically?

The old versions used to have that feature, but now you can use the upper menu bar for most such changes that used to be hidden away in the Transform submenus.

Here I have a photograph of the sky and I want to add a plane. I have that image from another photo but I wanted more clouds. So I brought in the plane as a new layer. I've selected it and now can alter it.

Using the Set Rotation field I can type in an exact degree (and several decimal points). Photoshop will preview it for you. If you like select a tool from the Toolbox. You'll get interupted with a "Do you want to apply the transformation" warning. Click "Apply" and you're done.

You can also click on the "Commit" button (the checkmark to the right of the H and V fields right next to the "Cancel Transformation" circle-n-slash button.

You can still use the old Windows' "Enter" key or the Mac "Return" but you have to be out of a menu bar field. I've found that difficult.

Note also the Reference Point Location proxy (right under the word Photoshop in the upper menu bar) your transformations can be anchored according to which of the nine dots are active. This can be very useful for rotating from the center or just from one edge point, depending on your needs.
